  • From ANMYFISHCO’s fish farms (supplying about 70% of the raw fish material to the factory).
  • Purchases from the Pangasius Aquaculture Associations associated with ANMYFISHCO.

The process of fish culture in ponds at ANMYFISHCO’s fish farms:
1. Select location

– The pond located in the planning area of the province.
– Avoid industrial, agricultural and densely populated areas.
– Near the canals to facilitate water supply and drainage.
– Select pond location where the soil is less acid, not rusty water.

2. Design

– The ponds have spill way dam and supply water.
– Ponds can be dug large or small, but at least 500 m2.
– The border's ponds must steady, not landslide.
– Water depth from 2-4m depending on the quality of the earth.
– Each pond should have water supply and drainage.
– Ponds should not be built close to large trees, canopies can shade the water.
– The design of the pond has one or more feeding areas.

3. Preparation the ponds:

– The ponds must be high, wide and steady, with no holes.
– Drain out of water, slop, the ponds have to be emptied.
– Expose the bottom's ponds from 2 - 3 day.
– Deep level water from 1.5 - 2 meters.

4. Water supply:

Water sources must meet the following requirements:
– pH: 7 - 8
– NH3 £ 1mg / l.
– Water temperature: T0 = 26 - 300C
– Dissolved oxygen content: > 2 mg / l.

5. Discharge baby fish:

– Examine the infection indicators according to 28TCN170: 2001 issued by the Ministry of Fisheries, combine with the assessment of fish health by sensory criteria:
• Appearance: proportional, strong, steady, no milling, bright color, uniform size
• Active status: swim fast, according to the herd.
Size of baby fish: length 10 - 20cm/ fingerling, weight 15 - 20 fingerlings /kg.
Density discharge: 20 - 40 fingerlings/m2.

6. Feed

– Food: Only use food from licensed establishments.
– Diet of feed about 5 -7 % weight of body fish
– Everyday fish is feed 2-4 times at morning and afternoon. The food should be well distributed.

7. Care & control:

– Feed: Feed for fish must be safe, full of nutrients, contain no antibiotics in the ban list of the Ministry of Fisheries.
– Feed the fish properly so that the fish is not hungry, manage the fish food closely so that the food is not excess.
– Water environment: 1 - 3 days change water pond once, each change from 20 to 30% of the water in the pond. Always keep pond water environment stable under 28TCN176: 2002.
– Monitoring and sampling of parasites at least once a month or when necessary.
– Strictly follow the process of disease prevention and treatment for fish ponds.
– Do not use chemicals or antibiotics in the Ministry of Fisheries prohibitory list.
– If the fish is sick, contact the veterinarian to diagnose and treat the fish.

8. Harvest:

– After 5-7 months, harvesting is carried out.
– Before the harvest, it is necessary to have the disease check on fish and antibiotics allowed to use not exceed the permitted level.
– Stop using antibiotics for 30 days before harvesting and do not use antibiotics in the ban list.
– Stop feeding fish for at least 2 days before harvesting.

9. Transport:

– Live fish are transported by boat with a vent to the outside water environment.
– Process of transportation and preservation to ensure product quality.
